Sharing My Passion Talk: All About What You Cannot See

Plastic, though helpful at times can pose dangers to the environment!

Come and  join the Sharing My Passion Talk this Wednesday (May 3rd) By Ian Carter of Go-Go-Green from 5.30 to 7.00 pm at The Museum Café and Shop 96, Main Bazaar, Kuching.

After his retirement in 1997 as Off-Shore Oil Production Engineer, Ian noticed the many environment issues that were evident even in Sarawak, where he has been in residence since 1991. In 2005, the issues of the over-use of plastic shopping bags was highlighted during a conversation with a shopkeeper. He then decided that it was time to do something about his problem.

What began as a hobby developed into a full time occupation as he branched into Kuching with regular displays in strategic shopping malls in the city, Go Go Green Society registration, and providing free power point presentations to schools, colleges, universities, companies and any groups who are curious to know more about the ‘plastic pest’.

At the moment of time he is on target to achieve his goal to create a plastic free Sarawak by 2020, working closely with local authorities. In this talk, he will be sharing about the hidden deadly punch that plastic can deliver. Beware!
