A true combination of East meets West, Indonesia’s new luxury yacht, Rascal, offers an all-new, nutritious dining experience aboard a traditionally handcrafted Phinisi vessel.
Available for tailor-made private charter experiences around the Indonesian archipelago, Rascal embraces an equally bespoke approach to dining with a forward-thinking and unique food and beverage programme.
A vision of The Good Food Brotherhood- foodies Pablo Fourcard, Jordie Strybos and their Executive Head Chef Josh Job, the pioneering group is renowned for delivering healthful lifestyle-café concepts to Bali’s international jet set.
The passionately created Rascal menu takes inspiration from the group’s ever-bustling Milk & Madu, Watercess, Ulekan Indonesian Cuisine, Bangkok Hustle and Shmurger Burgerestablishments, which shot to island-wide fame for serving vibrant, nutritious food, sourced from local organic farmers and artisanal purveyors.
Bringing the Rascal philosophy to life, the dishes served on-board are adventurous and full of flavour, originality and variety – and no two days are the same.
All the finest superfoods imagined for the finest superyacht charter, with some Rascal guilty pleasures thrown in along the way!
Rascals wake up in paradise to a breakfast of champions – a kick-start from the famous Watercress Bloody Mary, or a selection of smoothies and powerful organic caffeine concoctions for those gearing up for an active day on the water.
A wholesome selection of tropical fruits, yoghurts and blossom honey is served in fresh coconut bowls and displayed alongside warm boat-baked pâtisseries and sourdoughs, topped with a dollop of hearty homemade nut butters and jams.
Meanwhile, crunchy Rascal quinoa granola bowls with soy or almond milk provide the ultimate low GI energizer before a day of surfing, snorkelling, diving, or simply sunbathing.
For those in need of an indulgent breakfast in bed, hot breakfasts are made to order and can come in the form of Josh Job’s secret recipe Rascal Boss omelette, Buttermilk hotcakes or eggs any style – matched perfectly with TWG tea or Revolver Coffee and delivered to the cabin for the late starters.
Rascal drops anchor in secluded white sandy bays for lunches that celebrate all the flavours of Indonesia, infused in European-inspired recipes.
A beachfront BBQ is fired up to serve appetizers of bruschetta with cherry tomato, basil, Spanish onions and balsamic reduction, followed by fresh-catch grilled mahi-mahi with the signature Watercress salad on the side – feta, radish, sweetcorn and pomelo with a refreshing citrus dressing.
Guests celebrating a special occasion will be thrown an all-day feast on-demand, allowing brunches to roll into long lunches and late moonlit dinners.
A banquet of fresh seafood, barbecued, braised and grilled meats, wholegrains, legumes and salads is perfectly paired with a well-curated wine list and expertly crafted cocktails from Asia’s award-winning Proof & Company spirit advocates, ensuring all appetites are sated throughout the day.
Cocktails at dusk are accompanied by a selection of charcuteries and rustic wholemeal breads, before an equally mouth-watering dinner – fire-roasted leek and chicken soup followed by 8-hour braised lamb shoulder or sashimi grade tuna steaks, served against the backdrop of the most iconic sunset views on earth.
Movie nights under the stars take place in Rascal’s chic ‘New York Hamptons’ style, on the infinity roof deck with a selection of treats from the Rascal kitchen – a jar of salted caramel and chocolate mousse, or boat-baked chocolate brownies with vanilla bean ice cream for the kids, whilst the adults can enjoy a curated collection of fine wine and decadent cheese pairings, European style.
Pablo and Jordie of The Good Food Brotherhood, said of the partnership “We’re extremely excited to be working on our first floating menu and love everything about the Rascal hospitality concept – barefoot freedom and unpretentious fun – without compromising on anything other than the region’s best services and produce. Our modern, intuitive menu is inspired by what Rascal stands for –living well, eating fresh, and enjoying a cheeky indulgence!’’
Food is served by the exceptional Rascal chefs, à la carte or by-request 24-hours a day, catering to all specific dietary needs. Rascal operates with just one rule – If coconuts don’t grow there, she won’t go there!
